Tisch New Theatre, a completely student run theatre company associated with NYU, is celebrating its fifth year anniversary by producing a fresh tale of the timeless musical, West Side Story. This revitalization of the well-known story sets the Sharks against the Jets in a new depiction of New York City – a New York City under reconstruction. They fight for more than their pride; now their homes and their histories are threatened to be forever changed and shifted by Manhattan’s race to the skies.
