this isn't where I aim to persuade or dominate.
it is my laboratory—internal, preparatory, clarifying— 
where the work is shaped before it speaks, 
often with no other place to go. 

here I sharpen compression, image, rhythm, and restraint
so that other forms may carry the weight.

this work feeds everything else.
there is no public ambition here.
